Project Description

A main contractor installed new gas, water, sewerage and central heating systems into a 200-unit listed and partly occupied private residential block. Although the works were completed as stipulated by the contract; the main contractor used twice the manpower which was envisaged at the time the contract was made. A productivity analysis including an analysis of the main contractor’s tender and the disruptive events caused by both the employer and the contractor during the performance of the contract helped the main contractor to recover the cost of the disruption suffered.
